The Colts stage (U17/U18)is the final stepping stone into senior rugby, and we are delighted to have you join our academy.
You’re joining a club that lives by simple values: inclusion, support, growth, respect, resilience, and togetherness. Whether you’ve chased an oval ball since you were six years old or you’re pulling on a shirt for the first time this season, you will be made very welcome.
Colts rugby is fast, physical, and rewarding. It’s where teammates become mates for life, and where you test yourself against some of the best young sides both in the County playing in the Yorkshire Colts Under 18 League, as well as across the Country in the National Cup.
Our coaches are here to push you, back you, and help you develop your game – not just as a player, but as a person.
The club features a dedicated pathway into the senior, National 1, rugby together with its development squads. This means that the habits you build in the Academy set you up for years at Abbeydale. The club takes great pride in seeing those home grown players representing the First XV.
Midweek training is on a Wednesday between 7pm-9pm. Matches are played on Sundays.
